I went to JoAnns while out and I spent quite a while there. I finally decided on a dark brown floral pattern suede for my Jedi tunic and a cool black, rubbery, meshy, type of stuff I'll use as my vest. I decided to make a regular tunic out of the suede and the tabbards out of the black stuff. Tabbards don't work on me, my shoulders are too small. But I have this awesome out of print vest pattern that I'll use to make the tabbards into a vest. I doubt I'll have an under tunic. But you never know, I might decide to make one. I want to make a new lightsaber too, but I'll do that after my new tunic and vest are done. If my lightsaber isn't done by Halloween it won't matter, I have the old one I made years ago. I do have a double bladed one I made that I love but it's kinda long. Now that I'm married to someone with technical expertise I want to see about setting up a blade at some point. But probably won't get that done before Halloween. I have the black mesh that isn't (well, it's not really mesh... it's hard to describe it, I'll take pictures later) soaking in the bathtub right now. They're both wash cold, and the mesh is hand wash only. I figure I'll just hand wash them both, make it simple. I should go rinse off the mesh and hang it up soon. I will get the vest made first, cause my regular tunic would work with the vest. I just don't really like my outer tunic that I have now. It was the first real thing I made and I made so many errors. For one thing I didn't press anything, cause I didn't have an iron. I made wrinkles on one part and decided maybe an iron would do the trick so I heated up a butter knife and pressed that to the fabric and it melted a hole in it so I had to patch that. I couldn't figure out folding under so I have a little fraying on the neck band. The neck band is all wompley, especially around the neck, but I'm still not entirely certain how to handle that aspect, I ended up doing the same thing to my husband's tunic as well as the bathrobe I made myself. It's the under tunic that really needs help. I made the sleeves skin tight and the seams are bursting now. Especially since my job has increased the width of my arms. I also want to redo my belt, maybe go with a 2" wide outer belt and a 1/2" wide inner belt. But that will deffinately have to wait for a future time. It's just that when I bend over my outer belt gets caught between my chest and my hips and it's uncomfortable. Well, I dunno. There's still time, I could go ahead and order some new belt blanks and redo my belt. Then I could go with black. I'm doing more of a Dark Jedi this time instead of a full out Jedi. Since I am deffinately more of a Dark Jedi than a regular Jedi. At least my prequel standards. I'd probably fit in fine in Luke's order. I mean, if he accepts Kyp Durron I doubt he'd have any problems with me.
So Monday. I didn't sleep well that night. And when I got to work I found someone had brought a half gallon of ice cream into my cooler and put it in my damage cart. I just thank God that dripping, sticky, disgusting mess was in a bag or I'd have had to clean up a mess.
I had to offload grocery right away even though he'd been there since 4:45 and Zhaun and night crew could have had it done in 15 minutes if they all got on it at once. As it was it took me from 6:15-7:00ish (7:15?) and the driver wouldn't help so I had to do it on my own. And then Zhaun comes back telling me how to offload and where to put this, oh and leave that out, and etc. Just do it yourself next time and you won't have to tell me how to do it.
I ate
Anyway, I worked all my backstock. And in the process saw someone had stuffed lunch meat in with the cottage cheese. So I had to walk all the way around to put it back where it belongs. But I guess I should just be thankful they put it in a cooler instead of on the floor or a display. You don't know how many times I see a gallon of milk on the floor in front of the cooler, or pizza shoved in with the chips (which are across from the pizzas).
After that I cleaned my cooler some. I swept and scraped. This means I pulled milk shelves away from the doors (yay rolling shelves) and scraped dried milk. This caused my arms and legs to ache so bad my legs shook slightly. That's asides from the general hip pain I was feeling. Oh, and my shoulders got better and weren't locked anymore.
After work I bought some more caselot, things we were out of on Friday, like the Valley Fresh chicken and chicken flavored ramen.
When I got home I took a bath. It was really nice. I needed that. I read some more FOTR. Even as they're running away from bad guys they take the time to examine which kinds of trees are thereabouts. ugh It was hair washing day so I did that.
I made taco casserole for dinner.
1lb Hamburger Meat
1 1/4 cup Salsa
2/3 cup Mayonnaise
1 packet Taco Seasoning
Chopped Onions
Sour Cream
Mild Cheddar and Monteray Jack shredded cheese
Yellow Tortilla Chips
Refried Beans
Lettuce
You brown the meat and add the salsa, mayonnaise, taco seasoning, onion to taste, and a few large spoonfulls of sour cream. Then you spread half of that in a casserole dish, crush up some chips and layer that on, and the beans. The beans are hard, they don't like to spread easy and I don't have a solution so dump spoonfulls randomly around (using my finger to get it off the spoon, actually a fork works better I've found lately). We use vegetarian beans due to my husband's allergy to lard, which I guess has sodium nitrate or something in it. Anyway, then the lettuce and then cheese. Then more meat stuff, then more chips, more beans, more lettuce, now scoop some more sour cream on top of that and finally top with the rest of the cheese. Bake at 350 for 20 minutes then let it sit for another 10-15. I've found that the longer you let it sit the better it gets.
We watched Zombieland

The spoiler-full review is that: It had a happy ending. No one died. Yay! It acted like people would die but none did.

***It's safe now***
Today so far I've washed a load of pants and hung those out to dry. I also passed about 15 levels on Sewage Surfer on Neopets. With Plants vs Zombies down there's not a lot I can do to pass a few minutes here and there. I guess maybe I could get back to Fallout 3. hm.
Nothing really to say about Bonecrusher today. He managed to tie a slip knot around his neck with a string he found. *sigh* Not really old enough to be left alone yet so we'll be holding off on our trip to my mom's house for a bit.
And I was wrong about how many boards, I forgot that the roof would need more than I had originally drew. So now we're up to 205, rounded up. Still no idea how many I'll need for the stairs. I need to add that up sometime.
Today I'm in my Dollhouse, sparkle jeans even though they're a little tight around the hips and thighs. And I'm wearing my blue themed static Danskin tank. I love Danskin. Not the actual Danskin, that stuff's too expensive, but the Wal-Mart branded Danskin. I believe it's called Danskin Now or something. It's just a really great line of clothing. Almost half my wardrobe consists of their stuff. Their shirts don't make you look fat. They have designs or seams strategically placed to reduce the image of being fat. The only thing to look out for is some of them are tight around the upper arm. Their coats are amazing, I love their coats and often Victor has to drag me away from them before I buy them all. He says I have too many coats as is. Most girls collect shoes, I collect coats. I love their sweat pants and need to get more. Their sports bras are so incredibly comfortable. I have never bought their socks as I hate ankle socks. I bought some of their regular black shoes (not the funny kind that have a rocker bottom, but just a regular flat shoe) and they're really comfortable. They have some things I would never buy, like a lot of their shorts. I do have some of their shorts, but I'm not really a shorts kind of person. And some weird colored things or weird shirts. Like they had a white tank with a smaller colored tank in front of that which didn't really make sense so I didn't get that. But overall I love their clothes. In fact there's a coat I really liked that I saw on Saturday. I need to drag Victor down to look at it sometime before they sell out. *twitch*
I had my first Halloween candy. Reese's Pumpkins. Ah, my seasonal weakness. Reese's pumpkins turn into trees, which turn into hearts, which turn into eggs. What I really love are the king sized. This year it seems king sized merely means a package with two regular sized in them. I fear I won't find the actual kind sized this year due to that. But what I really miss are the Inside Outs. They used to come out every Halloween, for about three years. And then they replaced them with icky caramel. Inside Out was as it said, peanut butter on the outside and chocolate on the inside. Actually, considering how many bags of those I used to buy perhaps my weight thanks Reese's for swapping them for the icky caramel. I'd be so fat by now.
I guess I should go hang up my black meshy fabric.
