There's some good stuff coming out for Star Wars fans.
First up is the sequel to Star Wars: Death Troopers, which I believe is not out in paperback just yet. Death Troopers was a good book, it held me, gripped me, it was spooky and SWy all at once. An Imperial experiment went wrong and reduced everyone on board to zombies. A prison ship traveling unknowingly in the same area breaks down and heads to the nearby Star Destroyer for repairs. All but a few people onboard get turned into zombies and the people left have to try to escape. What I liked best was that there were no main characters...

...except Han, who totally did not belong at all. There was neither point nor reason. It was as though the author thought fans wouldn't like his book unless he randomly threw a main character in. But, see, fans like reading books without main characters. And it sort of cheapens the zombie plot to have had Han there because now we read the other books with Han in them and we watch the movies, and while his ANH line, "I've seen a lot of strange stuff..." has more meaning now, we know that the zombies were such a little thing to him that he doesn't mention it to anyone ever. That sort of thing you'd think he'd mention somewhere. He was just very out of place.

This is the cover of the next book, courtesy of starwars.com. Not quite as chilling as the first book's cover, unless you really start thinking how terrifying a Sith zombie would be. But I'm uncertain. Does this really mean our next zombie book is about a Sith? The yellow eyes say yes. But then who is it? I would almost want to say that it's Darth Maul, from the face markings, but they're not the same, and he's long, long dead by the time these books take place. It could be Galen Marek, you know, Starkiller. That would be a nice tie-in with the game, but would not be canon at all. Unless it's about the second game, which I hear is about Galen's clone, and he goes to the Dark Side in canon. Then perhaps he's sent off to oversee the operation that caused the zombification. That's my theory anyway, and the only one that makes sense. I just hope the author has taken a few writing lessons since the last book. While, yes, the first book was great, he didn't quite know how to finish writing it. Towards the end it wound down really fast and then the last chapter was just awful. However, I am hopefully optimistic about this sequel. It's due out in December, btw.
Next up is a new comic about Boba Fett called Star Wars Adventures: Boba Fett and the Ship of Fear. Already the title sounds excellent. It's about this lost ship from centuries ago that's said to contain a treasure. Boba finds a map and heads out to go treasure hunting. Two other hunters foolishly follow him hoping to best him and get the prize for themselves. Apparently they're either suicidal or stupid. But the ship's apparently got something spooky lurking in it. Surprisingly it's coming out in February and not October. It sounds fun though.
