I worked 8-4 today, which was weird but not too bad. I'm just glad I work tomorrow because I didn't have time to do my order. My order isn't due out till 6PM tomorrow.
Zhaun called me to tell me to do his shelf review and to fill the ice when it came in. I did his shelf review but I didn't fill ice because I didn't have time. Get a bagger to do it.
I spent a while helping Julie and Bonnie get another Hutterite order ready. We had three colonies we had to get ready for, luckily the one was small. I found out the main group we deal with are German. I always wondered where their accent was from but I've never really been friendly with them enough to ask. Tony, our Russian truck driver, was waiting for them to move so he could back in, and he asked them. I don't like Tony. He uses his being Russian as a crutch and a means to get out of stuff. Like dispatch sent out letters about something and Tony ignored it because he "can't read English that good". He goes too fast and too hard. He was actually banned from 168. And we banned him from using the electric jack and the stacker. I do let him use them sometimes though cause he is actually really good at it. He has run pallets into me before, and has damaged product kicking it over to stop a leaning pallet from leaning. He's on produce loads now cause they're the only load you don't really tip often, and he was really bad about tipping loads.
And speaking of bad loads, grocery was awful. They had soup stacked on top of water and had diapers and cat food. All in one stack. Wow. They had water on soda. Stuff on quaker rice cakes. It was just all messed up. And here Bonnie had said that Mr. Corporate Guy said we were going to all the loads being set by commodity. There is a meeting on Tuesday I don't want to go to so that Zhaun will explain it to freight crew and dairy. As if I couldn't just get a quickie explanation from Bonnie and then figure it out on my own later. I guess I'll go, it's at 8AM so I figure I'll get an hour of free overtime and then go buy lightsaber parts. Victor's dragging his feet on that, probably cause he doesn't want to spend forever standing next to me with nothing to do while I pour over parts.
Today was a very good day, however, as Mountain Dew: White Out is back in stock in our area!!! YAY!! We ran out and never got more in and I was confused cause White Out had won. So I asked out Pepsi sales rep and he said that every area had received as much of the three flavors as they thought they might sell and once they sold through those that was it until the winner was chosen and the new packaging came out. So once White Out won they had to change over their production stuff and get the White Out going again and print up new packaging. And keeping this in mind I find it amusing that Distortion is still on the shelves here. No one liked it. But White Out, I love White Out. And I hate Mountain Dew. I think I like White Out almost more than regular Pepsi. I am very happy. I had one can left and was saving it for a special occasion but I couldn't find anything special enough so I never drank it. Oops... Oh, well. I heard they are discontinuing the Throwback line, but I have no confirmation yet. I'll ask our sales rep and if so I'll buy a bunch so we have it after it goes away.
I found out Newbie's been sweeping and mopping every night and told me he forgot the last time he worked and said he was sorry. bzzuh? No one sweeps and mops every night... But I'm not telling him that.
Ooo... First of the month! I get to change the calendar! We have a Michael Jackson calendar. We waited too long to get one and sometime in January this was the only one we both agreed on. He didn't want horses and I didn't want wrestling, so MJ it was. I like this month's picture, mmm.... hehe. Hair's not perfect, but the smile, eyes, and jawline more than make up for that. I'm no expert but I believe it was taken on the Bad set.
Now Victor's playing Dead Rising 2 with his brother over the internet. I actually kinda want to play the game, it looks good. I didn't want to play the first one, even though it did look entertaining, it just wasn't interesting enough to make me play it. But I like the story of the second one, trying to save your daughter.
Bonnie told me that the Kroger guy wasn't in to do a Key Retailing walk... he was in to look around. hmmm...
Well, I should maybe go feed my neopets. They're probably hungry. Being cheap I just go grab a slice of omelet from the Tryannian Plateau since that's free. I've been thinking about maybe buying some cool armor for my Quiggle or something. I really should switch him out with my Xweetoc for a while since she never gets played with. I do occasionally shove a plushy at her to play with and sometimes I read a book to her. But all my books go to my Quiggle first, he's got 39 books read on the regular list and 14 booktastic books. Nowhere near the top 200 yet, but this is sure a lot easier than the gourmet food club. It's near impossible to find gourmet foods, and when you do they're thousands of NP to get them. You don't know if a food is gourmet unless you search for it in the database. A gourmet food is something between 90-100 rarity. Which you don't know unless you look in the database. Books, however, are cheap, and easy to find, and the only issue is if you've already read it you can't read it again.
Bonecrusher decided to climb my legs last night... while I was wearing naught but Victor's boxers on my legs. So I have some slashes on my leg and they were rubbing on my long underwear at work today and they got irritated and hot. ugh. But he's so cute. He helped me do my hair again this morning.
