Halloween

Pictures of my costume will come sometime later. I was getting ready up until last minute, so there wasn't time for pictures before work. Two hours into work my lightsaber slipped off the hook and hit the floor hard. All the push nuts came off and the butt got knocked a bit. I taped the push nuts back on and two hours later the butt came off entirely. So I spent the rest of my shift without a lightsaber. But it's ok because they took my picture before that incident. I did my hair up neat. It was Victor's idea. I found something cool at Wal-Mart and I used that. It's called an Up Zip. Pictures of that will come later too. I put my hair in a ponytail, twisted up, put the upzip in, then split the hair into two pony tails on either side of it.

Not many other people dressed up. Cris didn't! She's great at costuming. Tina didn't either, she always dresses up. The only other costumes were a dollar bill. A crayon. Someone put on an Indian-fabric hoodie and stuck a feather in their hair and called it good. A "dark angel" or something with wings and black and facepaint, she didn't want to be called a demon. A nurse outfit (how is this a costume?). So, yeah. My chances of first prize are higher this year than ever before. We don't have the contest every year. I think we've only done it once or twice before.

Driving home I went through the neighborhood I always drive through on my way home from work. And it was super crowded with trick or treaters. It made me remember trick or treating as a kid. I kinda miss that. The fun, the excitement, the costumes, the candy. I loved trick or treating. I love Halloween in general. I just hate having to work on it because my costume always becomes droopy by the end of my shift. Indeed I hurt all over and my boot rubbed on my little toe on my right foot so bad all day that it really hurts now. I stopped having fun around 5:00 and it just dragged and dragged until time to go and I really just wanted to go around 6.
