Victor and Bonecrusher. Boney loves shoulders. He peers over them and is so interested in everything he can see from up there.
This is another reason it takes me so long to sew anything...
There, instead of laying in front of my keyboard I cleaned one of my cubbyholes enough that he can sleep in there. Actually he's cleaning himself in the picture, but he's sleeping now.

I forgot to show the pins marking what I did. This is the shoulder area. I took it in by 2" at the shoulder seam. I then angled down to meet with the underarm area by passing through the two small dots. This is the area cut off. I used the cut off section to measure how much to cut off of the other side.
I then used the cut off section on the sleeve to make up for the amount I took away from the body. While I did take away from the body I wanted to maintain the sleeve length and so moved the area from the body to the sleeve. Which means the sleeve will sit closer to the neck, rather than hanging off the shoulder, and the sleeve will be the same length and hopefully there's no issues with arm movement. I have the sleeves pinned to the body and so far it all matches up. I need to sew that and the side seams and then I'll find out if I did this right.
And here is a closeup of what I did with the sleeve cap. Now on the body I accounted for seam allowance so that cut-off is the actual size of the area moved. So I figured I had to add a seam allowance because of this. While my serger has 3/8" seam default all the seams on this tunic are at 5/8" so I made this seam allowance at 5/8" as well and will trim it just like the other seams. Just to make it easier and have less to keep track of.
This is my sink pipe. It is a 1 1/4" diameter 12" long Extension Slip Joint Connector. I intend to unscrew that cap my hand's on and then stick my emitter in there. I will wrap either black hair rubber bands or that black wire around the top there in the threads. The black wire will be wrapped around to make the grip. It will go in a spiral down, wrap around a few times, then back up in a spiral and hopefully this will make a diamond pattern of sorts. I have to make some drawings and see if that will work how I want.
This is the hole plug I will stick in the bottom. I will make a hole in it for my D-Ring because I think it would be awesome to do a D-Ring setup instead of the cellphone clip. Victor's doing the cellphone clip.
This is the thingie that will be my emitter. Apparently it's a liquid tight connector?
This is what it looks like from the side.
And this is the top. I would love to fit some wire mesh in the top maybe. I think I have something that would do the trick but I need to dig in my drawer.
And here's my wire.
Here is Victor's pipe. It's a 1 1/2" diameter 12" long extension slip joint connector. Basically the larger size of what I have. He might take the cap off.
This is the sprinkler head he will use as the bottom. The twisty at the top is his blade length adjuster. It is a Pro Series Pop-Up Sprinkler.
Now this thing I'm still not sure what it is but that's his emitter. I believe it's a sink drain now I think about it.
And this is looking down the top of the emitter.
Sewing
Wal-Mart was having a sale on bolts of fabric, five and three dollars a bolt. They were already cut into but some of them were still fairly thick. I got two bolts of gray long underwear material. One thick black that I might find a good use for, lots of that left on the bolt. A drapy medium-light blue that might make a good night gown or dress or something. A neon green mesh that Victor wants pants and shorts made of. And then there was a grayish-white with shiny white parts and a square pattern (hard to describe how it looks) but it would deffinately make a great shawl or something, I don't know, but it caught me and it held me, and there's lots of it. I think it came out to about 26-28 dollars for the lot, which is very good. Usually these things would be 4-7 dollars a yard, and I have nearly full bolts on all but the blue and green fabrics. So I was very happy with my find.
