Who decides these things?

As soon as I got in the door Zhaun was telling me to do this and that again. This time he wanted me to fill an end with Sunny Delight then face Wall Deli. He wanted me to put the two plus out pallets of Sunny Delight in my cooler as he didn't have room. As if I had room. And why should I face wall deli? It's easier now with the new sliders but I cut my hand on one of them, not bad, a scratch really.

I cracked my right thumbnail facing the juices. And at one point or another I chipped a little bit off of my right index fingernail.

We had that meeting at 9. The majority of people attending were outsiders. People on the remodel team. They had a schedule of things they were going to do. They're going to start in Floral and the bathrooms. They wanted us girls to use the men's room and them men would use the unisex while they redid the women's room. None of us were happy about that and at least four or five of us spoke up and said we weren't doing that. Eww, I hate the men's room. The floor's all sticky, all the time, all of it. It usually stinks. And the urinal is filthy, always, and usually someone's tossed gum in there. It's so gross. (when I was a bagger I had to clean the men's room)

We're getting a fake electronic fireplace over in service deli. oooo

And the reason they started on the remodel a month late is because Kroger wants us to have a drive-through pharmacy. Yay for killing ourselves on sales! Now these people who used to come in to pick up their prescription and decide to grab a gallon of milk while they're at it won't be buying that extra item and they'll simply get their meds and go. Plus that's stupid. As if we don't already have problems in the parking lot. Idiots always park in the fire lane or outside the parking spaces and there's already barely enough room to edge by them, but imagine a line of cars blocking the entire way in and out of the parking lot, parked in front of the doors, and the problems with people pulling out of the drive-through and back into regular parking lot traffic. I saw the floor plan and that will extend the front of pharmacy out into the parking lot. They're going to have to eliminate at least two or three parking spaces, not to mention the sidewalk in front of the store, and make people drive around the drive-through to get out of the parking lot. As if we didn't have enough problems with congestion.

They wanted to do dairy and wall deli the week of Thanksgiving. Yeah, the third biggest dept in the store for sales in November and they want to remodel it on the week of Thanksgiving! That would have been a really, really, really bad idea. One guy who seems to be intelligent spoke up and said that was a bad idea. He worked out that we could swap with Nutrition and do Dairy the week after Thanksgiving and do Nutrition the week of Thanksgiving. Good. Another guy spoke up and asked if two weeks before Thanksgiving was a good time to remodel meat dept. They kept that one though.

They'll mostly do work at night and will have earplugs available for people.

And you know that beautiful floor Super 1 has, the grinded down cement or whatever that's all pretty and glossy? We're getting one of those and Bret is so mad. He is obsessed with the floors. As you can imagine Spring is the bane of his existence.

Video Games and Costumes
I spent 8 hours playing Castlevania yesterday. I'm about to start Chapter XI. I can't wait till I get to play it again. I'm being good though, I'm going to go cook dinner and then sew my vest together. The vest won't take long, just zip, zip, shoulder seams, and side seams. I want to flat fell, but I need to see if my sewing machine can sew through it alright since it's kinda meshy-lacey. If not I'll serge it. I just think flat felling might look nicer. I have some pictures of my lightsaber but I'll upload them later. I did more work on it.
