Advent Calendar

We had mashed potatoes, chicken gravy, chicken, and garlic rolls for dinner today. After which we played Co-Op Plants vs Zombies on the xbox, we got 12 flags on Survival Endless. Nice!

Today's the first day of the Advent Calendar at Neopets. I didn't get anything really good though. Some Woodland Archer cookies which I guess I'll keep for now, and then some dart ornament thing that I put in my shop. Also all my Games Master rewards I didn't want are now up for sale in my shop. My other prizes were an avatar I can use on the forums and 800-some neopoints. 855 I think.

Work:
I got in this morning and first thing I find out Keebler is scanning in so I needed to check them in at some point, and Zhaun told me grocery was backed in and waiting. I would have rather gotten the egg shelf back in order. The shelf stripping says I don't have Hedstrom, Jumbo, Private Selection Organic, Eggland's XL, or Omega eggs. They kept all but the Eggland's and the Omega though so I only had to work the Omega back in. I'll take this opportunity to discontinue the Eggland's XL. But I'm not letting the Omega go, I sell 75 a week, it's my most popular brown egg. (Oakdell Omega-3 eggs or something) So I did my juice order and went to get the backroom ready. Of course the garbages were overflowing. The bag split on one of them because someone had thrown a bunch of metal away. And they were single bags, me and Bonnie always put two in the garbages because of people throwing in heavy stuff. Well, I got that done and then checked in Keebler, then offloaded the truck. Zhaun came back and was trying to tell me how to offload the truck, as if I didn't know to stack the toilet paper on top of the paper towels and then put the whole thing on top of the water. Just as we had about 8 pallets left the electric jack ran out of power so I had to plug it in and go find a manual jack. Of course they were all out on the floor and the only one I could find is pretty bad but I managed. After that I was able to get the eggs filled, everything faced, and had started on the shelf reviews. Zhaun wanted me to do his. Again. I feel that doing his shelf reviews has become almost a permanent thing, I've done them every day for about a week or so now. I was doing that when, at about 9, the food bank showed up for their pallets of noodles. We've been waiting for them to pick that stuff up for two weeks now and they show up today. Lovely. What with the other trucks going to be showing up any moment then and coke maybe taking stuff out I wasn't happy. I tried to take the stacker outside to put it in their vehicle, which of course was the van. The van is awful, I hate loading stuff into the van. Why can't they bring the truck more often? Well, the stacker always gets stuck easy, but I was determined. ...and I got it stuck so bad we had to tie it to their van and even then it took three of us pushing on it to get it unstuck. *sigh* They loaded it by hand after that. And while we were at it, about 9:30, deli/frozen showed up. And any notion of my taking a break that day vanished. By time we got done with the food bank it was nearly 10:00, and the driver of the truck was the retarded one. You know the one, I always complain about him, how I tell him something two or three times before he gets it. I had to haul all these wheelers out onto the floor. And someone on the remodel team decided to take the bag out of one of the garbage cans because he had a bunch of water he needed to move or catch or something. I let him go with the can hoping he'd bring it back. He hadn't when I left at 2:30. Anyway, someone else brought back a bunch of stryofoam things and threw them on top of the other garbage and they were strewn about the floor around it as though they'd stacked them there on purpose. While moving stuff I got a phone call from the place that issues our credits to say I won't receive credit for the sunny delight I sent in for because it wasn't shortcoded because it came with 12 days on it, and the cutoff is 10. Whatever, I wasn't getting credit anyway since it was under 150 dollars. And while offloading the truck Zhaun tried to bring back a pallet of soup and I had to tell him to take it back to the floor cause I didn't have room for it. The backroom was stuffed full. Then Zhaun wanted me to move some pallets from one side of an aisle to the other so Dennis could order as if Dennis couldn't move the pallets himself or something. While doing the truck Fred came in and complained about how no one had filled his milk I had to tell him that I hadn't even had time to fill my own milk. After I did the truck and brought back the wheelers and everything it was nearly 11:30 but I went on break anyway. Dustin came in at 11, which was great. After my break I did the order. While getting ready for the order Fred, who was still there, came to ask where all his crates were. I told him the remodel people were using them just like they're using all the other crates. I had to basically promise that none of his crates would leave the store and be sent to our warehouse, which of course they won't be. I did the order, then spent nearly an hour on markdowns because there were just so many. I did a lot of milk that was dated the 3rd. Almost all of it was Darigold. As much as I like Fred I would rather just take all the Darigold milk out of the set. It was kinda nice back when we were having problems getting it in because there wasn't any product to expire. So anyway, around 1:40 I was at a point where I could do other stuff so I did the eggs and some yogurt. The box crusher was full but I wasn't moving three or four pallets out of the way (where out of the way? there was no where out of the way to put them!) to make a bale. And someone had broken a bottle of wine on the floor next to the crusher which I promptly pretended not to notice. Someone whom I guess was trying to be helpful later told me of it, but I disappeared quickly thereafter. After the yogurt I filled the milk. I need to talk to Dustin about helping me rotate it. Now with so many doors of milk I can't be the only one rotating the milk. We have three and four dates on the shelf, plus I spied an 11/24 in with the 1%. How is that even possible to happen? Around noonish my back was hurting so I tried rubbing it and something moved and I felt a lot better. But I was also getting a nasty headache in between my eyebrows at the top of my nose. A lot of times that's where my headaches end up.

And probably more than that happened but I don't remember.

Also, corporate decided it was cheaper to have everyone at this store work 48-50 hours for our Re-Grand Opening instead of flying people up from Utah. For two weeks, probably next week and the week after, or next week and the week after that, whichever. They hope to be done by the 15th.

Though I think the remodel is scaring some people away. This was the slowest 1st of the month we've had in a very long time. Possibly as long as I can remember. And for it being December, too, it's weird. Nice, but weird.
