Mando Episode

Today started off with me playing Sims 3 for a few hours. I spent that time creating a house. It's not done, yet, all I did was some landscaping, the outside of the house, a porch, and a bathroom. When it's done I'm going to put it up on the Exchange because I want Victor to be able to play with it too.

I found out why my book is taking so long to arrive. See, when I reserved one I presumed this meant when they ordered howmany ever they order for the first day of the release they'd bump it up by one, but it turns out this is an order as if I'd gone on the site and ordered it like I would any other product on any site and it shipped on release day because the girl at the customer service desk instructed me wrong. And it is being shipped by truck instead of plane and arrived in Colorado yesterday. Yes, Colorado. As in two states East of here. From California. They could have flewn it to Missoula and from there drove it up to my town and I would have had it three days ago. But instead they put it on a truck that went to what I presume is the regional distribution center and from there I can only assume it'll be driven back over this way. At least I have next Thursday off cause I probably won't get it before then.

I finally got around to making that chicken and dumplings I've been wanting for a week now. Yay!

We watched two episodes of Clone Wars with it. The first one, Lost Lightsaber, was really good, probably one of the best. Even I am completely satisfied with everything in it. The next one is the first of the Mandalorian ones. There is a lot to discuss about this one.
1. It doesn't bother me that the Mandalorians are supposedly peaceful at this point in time. Yes, they have had a violent past, but that's not to say that one era, one person's rule, would be peaceful. Every planet has it's variety of rulers, at least one is bound to be peaceful. Besides, it makes sense for them to sorta lay low and be watchful for a while till they regroup sufficiently. Also, not everyone is going to be a soldier. Of course there's regular people, like shop keepers, seamstresses, politicians, garbage pickup people, businessmen, etc.
2. Obi-Wan and Satine. Moulin Rouge, anyone? She's even blonde. Anyway, I think Obi was just playing to get the information he wanted. Siri Tachi would be most displeased were it anything else.
3. Death Watch. It is a dead organization at that point in time because Jango has long since gotten his revenge. Though, as Victor pointed out, you don't have to be part of the original group to recreate a dead group. So that brings into question whether the leader is truly named Vizla or if he took the name to leech on someone else's reputation. Being that when he realized he was losing in the fight with Obi-Wan he sent three other Mandos after him and backed away himself that seems most likely to me.
4. Why do none of the helmets have antenna?
5. I noticed the inclusion of the shape in the center of the chest armor on Mandalorian armor everywhere in the design.
6. Yay them for reading Open Seasons and knowing what the Death Watch symbol is.
7. Even yayer for them bringing in KOTOR level technology.
8. I don't know Mandalorian so I don't know if they were true to KOTOR, Karen Traviss, or made it up. I refuse to learn Karen Traviss Mandalorian, though I have picked up some by accident.
9. Concordia. I want to twitch that it's not called Concord Dawn, but! It does make sense to rename it since the mining has corrupted the planet and the forests are just now growing back, it's basically a different place. And Concordia is close enough to Concord Dawn. Makes sense for it to be a moon of Mandalore. I'm even somewhat fangirl!squee over that. They even mentioned it used to be agricultural before the mining. Had to be a short mining spree for that much forest to be back. It's only been about 20-25 years since Jango was a farmer there. Course from the way the town in Open Seasons looked they might have already started on the mining at that point and there were some farms left.

I also spent some time today packing and cleaning. I put some of the sugar I got on caselot into buckets, I have two buckets filled and two more bags in the fridge. They're 4-pound bags. And I put a 10lb bag of flour into a bucket. And I packed three buckets with fabric.

Here is my old form of fabric storage:
This picture doesn't show the garbage bags on the floor... I do intend to keep some of it in the boxes. Like the NES/SNES twin box, and the Wii box is nice, and shoe boxes are always handy. But the cracker boxes are going, in fact I've already gotten rid of most of them. I mainly packed fabric that was on the floor today. I have four more buckets in the bathroom that need to be cleaned.

While I packed the buckets Victor packed his gun reloading and cleaning stuff into a tool box. And after that I got to watch him fix a lamp. It was very interesting. He had opened the bottom and the wires were there and he pulled the switch out and used his soldering iron to melt it off or something and then melted a new switch on. It was really neat and I got to help him by holding the switch while he melted it on. It's kinda ugly cause he had to destroy the foam base so to keep everything in he duct taped the bottom, but it'll be good as a work lamp.

Atton climbed behind Victor's Amiga so Bonecrusher had to try it too.
