Nova Pains

I know it's been a few days. On Sunday I had a bad day at work and didn't feel like posting. Yesterday I was too busy. Yesterday we went out for cat food and stuff. We got some plain TVP at Super 1 cause I use it in my ramen lunches at work. And we got a corded phone for after we move.

The Army/Navy has a buy 100 dollars worth of stuff and get a 50 dollar coupon so we did that. We found a gasline converter thingie for the stove and a wire saw for soap cutting and a belt for Victor and a holder for ammo and some other stuff I don't remember.

What's taking so much of my time is the Daily Dare. Sunday was the Habitarium. The Habitarium is something you'd think I'd love to play since I like Sims. It's about PetPetPets and they do stuff like build houses and scrounge for food and stuff. Except there's no fast forward so you either sit there forever and watch your ants and stuff work or you go do other things in another screen and hope they're all still alive when you come back. You could grind and get to a high enough level that it's not a concern and your petpetpets are self sufficient. But I'm just not that interested in this game. The AAA score was to get to level 5, which when the game was in beta I gave it a try and was already at level 4 so I just sat there and did stuff till I reached level 6. They were just trying to push their game to make more people play. ugh. At least it wasn't hard.

Yesterday's game was Nova Defender. AAA score is 700,000, Abigail score is 20,000. My highscore? 2,000. I found this is one of those games you need to play on hard to get the score on. So, now my high score is something like almost 400,000. It seems that Monday is "Super Hard Elimination Game" day. Remember last Monday was Kou-Jong? I'll keep trying.

Today's game was Usul Suspects. And apparently because I didn't fully read the instructions my high score was 230 something and I needed 550. After reading a guide and finding a cheat code, I spent about an hour and a half on it and got a score of 680. Yay!

I'm taking a break from playing right now, I'm back on Nova Defender. This one guy has videos on youtube of how to play and he got, like, 64,000-something on level one. Highest I've gotten is 51,000. I just don't get how he did it cause when I copy what he did I usually wind up with 35,000-48,000. He just made a new video (like, JUST made it, he posted it an hour ago) with sound so you can hear when the multiplier's at it's highest so that's loading right now. Probably done by now, though. So I'm going to watch that and see if I can figure out the multiplier noises.

*sigh* These pants still don't smell right. I bought these pants years and years ago when me and Emily were shopping and I brought them home and tried to wear them. Only to realize they stank. I've washed them over and over and over and the smell won't go away. I thought it had but I've been sitting here wearing them for a while now and they still stink, just not as much. I'm trying to decide if I want to put on different ones or not. I'm sick of all my pants, and the only ones I feel like wearing I can't find! hm.

Victor's figured out his tooth problems. It was apparently some form of bacteria that has to be manually removed and isn't really affected by medicine. So he believes he has removed it all but is going to be checking it for the next few days just to make sure. But due to home surgery he now has an infection from cutting himself open.

Read more Two Towers. Finally after pages of walking and innate chatter something was going to happen. I started to get into the story. They're going to attack Saruman! Yay! Oh, wait, what's this? "Let me tell you the history of my race". What, now? Now?? Actually it was kinda interesting but something that would be far better suited to a book entitled "The Races of Middle Earth". Anyway, then finally stuff started happening again. Oh, they're talking about going to be going to fight Saruman. Ok, well, that leads into something of substance, right? Oh, no, no, no, not this book. "Here let me take you to my house so we can have more geographical and anthropological goodness!" At least the next chapter starts back with Aragorn and co. Yay! Aragorn's angsting is so much more entertaining than a listing of various trees and what they look like. 

Back to Nova Defender. I have until the end of March to beat the score. There was also a petition on the forums asking for the score to be reduced because 700,000 is insane but that would be unfair to those who've already beaten the score and spent so much time and energy on it. Like I said, I believe Mondays are going to be the super insane hard scores. Makes me fear the 28th! Cause I'll only have the next three days after that to beat whatever game they throw at us that day.
