I beat Kou-Jong at Neopets! I knew all I had to do was spend some time away from the game. Even though it still took me about two or three hours or so today. Which puts me at about average for a total of 7 or 8 hours. But I beat it with a score of 886. I also beat the Faerie Cloud Racers too. So now I'm all caught up. I did miss the prize yesterday but at least I'm still going to get the gold trophy, I think. This is my first Daily Dare. I know, I've been with Neopets for 9 years and only since fall have I been participating in events.
Apparently back in January they sent out notices that you can't park motorhomes here. Ok, we didn't get a notice of this of any sort. So what do the expect everyone to do? Drop their lives, destroy vacations which might be the only bit of happiness people have and sell their campers and such? Make sure no one can properly prepare and pack for a vacation by forcing them to make multiple trips to wherever they have their thing parked? They should be the ones to pay everyone's fees for having to park their stuff elsewhere. Anyway, we called Bryan and asked him if he'd let us park ours at his house and he agreed. So we'll take it over there tomorrow. We'll pay him, of course.
I read a bit more of Two Towers. Sooo boring, it's been pages and pages now and nothing has happened. Or at least it feels like pages. I don't care what angle the branches are at, I just want to get on with the story. After I'm done with the book does it matter what kind of trees are around or which way the wind was blowing? No. Will I even remember this useless information? No. Does it set the mood for the story? Kinda but not really. And I know there's fans out there who do care. And that's fine. It's their fandom to care about these details. They can draw up maps in their heads, memorize the geography, study the plants, whatever. No different than me memorizing the map of the SW galaxy or the geography of various planets. They'd probably find that boring just as much as I find it boring to read this stuff. All the useless info should have been in a guide though. Sad thing is I know there is something of a guide out there and it has got to be two or three times more boring than this is because that openly says it's a guide and doesn't try to disguise itself as a story. ...right? I actually don't know, but that's what I gather.
While we were out Victor begged for a toy of Rainbow Dash so I let him get one. I teased him relentlessly about buying little girl stuff.
I also got some work pants at the thrift store. Differing company's idea of sizes is amusing. I tried on a size 8 that was too small, but a size 6 fit great. They're straight legs, the ones I got. But whatever, they're for work. I don't need to be fashionable. I'd prefer flares though. I also found some pretty nice mini-flares (flared enough to not be straight legs but not flared to my liking) that have some gold embroidery on them. I feel naked without a belt but wearing one would hide the pretty stuff. Maybe a skinny belt? Or a see-though one? hm. They're a tinsy bit big on me, but not a whole lot to where I'd feel they'd slide down. We'll see. I need to wash them first.
Oh! I nearly forgot. Out by the Little Caesar's down by JoAnns there's going to be a Goodwill. It's not open yet, and the banner didn't say when it'll open, it just says "Coming Soon". I'm excited. A new thrift store!
