I beat Hannah and the Kreludor Caves last night with 31,000 something and then did the team challenge. This time it went a lot better than it did with Imperial Exam. I challenged what was apparently a newbie and she spent all day trying to beat the game and finally just scraped by. This time I did it right and challenged someone who had a score ready. Hannah is an Usul, and you explore caves to find treasure and you only have so much oxygen (seeing as Kreludor is a moon) and you need fuel for your jetpack. And you have to collect the treasure, oxygen, and fuel in order to win a level. It's fairly fun I guess.
Today's game is Hassee Bounce. AAA's score is 225 and I average something like 50 points whenever I play. However, I played this game last year on the Gamesmaster Challenge, which gave me a highscore of 231. So I was confident I could do it again. It took a few tries but I finally got really lucky with high scoring doughnutfruit. I had to use the cheat code, of course. I finished with about 260-something I think.
Today's big plan is to make manicotti! I decided that since the recipe for that came with a recipe for white sauce and since I would be making that on my own why not make the spaghetti sauce? Someone in the comments suggested a marinara sauce recipe so I decided I'd try that out. I even bought fresh spinach and parsley. I was going to see about fresh oregano too but I couldn't find it. I realize now that's because I was tired last night and not thinking because I remember where the fresh herbs are at work now. If we still have them that is, they might have gone away in the remodel. At least I remember what they're packaged in, which would help me locate them. If Newbie Joe was the produce guy last night I'd have asked him cause he's cool about stupidity like that. Anyone else I'd feel stupid asking. After I post this I'm going to go make the sauce so I can let it sit and let the ingredients mingle until time to use it later. The recipe for the sauce called for white wine so I found this nifty Alcohol Cooking Substitutions chart.
I don't see anything in the paper about last night's fire, but maybe it won't be in the paper until tomorrow.
ugh, we have to set the clocks forwards tonight. I hate that. It always means I'm out of it for two weeks before I settle into missing an hour of sleep every night. I don't see what the point is in keeping up this tradition. The sun is going to rise and set when it does regardless of what time it is.
