Victor tried to rip his tooth out again last night, which I'm sure you're all delighted to know. So he was in bed until 1:00ish sleeping on and off.
So since I had so much time to myself I decided to take a bath and then watch FOTR. I got up to them entering Lothlorien when Victor got up. From a female perspective I would just like to say that Boromir has the whole hair in his eyes thing but he's a far lesser man than others and it really, really shows. It has been at least five years since I last saw this movie and I never really noticed just how much of a pansy Boromir is. I much prefer Faramir. Anyway, Then I suppose Legolas isn't too bad, he at least seems more manly than Boromir. Aragorn, though, Aragorn is the only man of importance. With that dark, brooding gaze, the perpetual frown of angst, the long hair, and the raw rugged manliness. The eyes of sorrow and pain, the eyes of fear, of a need to be healed.
From the perspective of someone who's read the book after seeing the movie I did pick out differences between them but I get why they did what they did, and it was for the people who didn't want to have to suffer through reading the book, to make it easy for them to understand without going into the depths of why and how, which often in the book takes up ten pages min for each "the how, why, and history".
And just something else I want to mention: Gandalf's hat is kinda cool. And now that I've sewn a lot more I'm looking at the costumes and thinking about them more. And looking at hair more too.
Today's Neopets game was Jumping Gem Heist. You throw stones at baskets that go by overhead and collect the gems that fall out but you have to recollect your stone to make sure you can still throw it at other baskets and there's a timer. My high score was 10,000, they wanted 50,000. It was hard but I got it. So far I'm still on track for the gold trophy.
I played some Fallout 3, which I have been doing often lately but I seem to have forgotten to talk about. Victor makes fun of me for doing bad deeds, like I've enslaved four people, I think, but I rescued some kids which evened me out. And I always demand payment for helping people. Except with Moira. She's building a survival handbook and sends me out to gather information. And I'd work for her for free. I get the feeling if I lived in that world for real we'd be best friends. She's just awesome. She has me going to some library now. ooo, I almost want to go play again now. Except I got carsick earlier and had to stop. I get motion sick on that game about an hour and a half or so after I start playing. I have something like 46 hours on that game so far. I explored the north and worked my way back down and now I'm exploring the south. I saved the south for last cause that's where the city is and exploring the city is confusing. Like you have to go left to get right. I might go play a bit after I post this, I have about an hour before bed.
I packed and cleaned. I put Victor's DDR pad for the PS2 in with the vhs tapes. I started a box with Victor's christmas village in it, and I'll put other breakables in there, like his Vidia doll (fairy from the Tinkerbell line), and the A-Wing toy, and some other stuff I'll think up, maybe the last of his Tron stuff. In another box I put all the Michael Jackson memorial magazines, my old Star Wars Gamer magazines, my big collection of Star Wars Insider magazines, my sole Star Wars Galaxy magazine, the few Nintendo Powers we have, and some old Atari magazine. I stuffed shirts around them to keep them from shifting in the box, like old SW shirts that are too big for me that I bought in my "I like wearing sizes three times too big for me" phase, and some seasonal things like my Snoopy sleeping on a pumpkin shirt. I still have room in the top of that box but not much. No idea what to put in it. The only magazines left are Victor's Mad magazines and there's too many to fill such a small space and I don't want to split them up but I don't really want to put comics or something in there, so I just don't know what to do. I'll figure it out though and worse comes to worse I'll just keep adding clothes into the box till it's full.
Well, off to the library in Fallout, I guess. I was trying to decide if I wanted to watch the rest of FOTR or not, since Victor's in the bath now. But I'll do Fallout. I don't want to have to stop again if he gets out. I feel kinda shy about watching it because he finds LOTR incredibly boring, which, I agree, the books are just dragging and dragging. For a while it was exciting cause Aragorn was doing stuff but now it's boring again.
