breakfast pizza

This is the breakfast pizza I made today, using this recipe. I did not use tomatoes as the recipe said. I think next time I'll use less peppers because I didn't enjoy this as much as I could have. Victor loved it though. I used a mixture of almost half whole wheat and half white flour.

I watched Tangled this morning. It was pretty cute. I'm not sure I'd buy it unless I found it cheap somewhere (I borrowed the one I watched today), like in a 3-5 dollar bin. But I did like it. Warning: Spoilers beyond this point.
She has a pet chameleon, who was adorable. I had issue with the horse who acted non-horse-like. But it is a Disney movie so I guess I'm just glad the horse didn't talk. Wouldn't the paper lanterns catch things on fire? I could just see one landing in the forest and starting a fire. Also, despite everything, she was raised by the witch. That person was her mom for nearly her entire life. Kidnapper or no there's still that attachment, that bond. I don't see the witch living with a "daughter" that many years without developing some kind of motherly love for her. And yet Repunzel doesn't cry or anything when her "mom" dies. I mean, yes, she was kinda busy at the moment, but you'd think there'd be some grief later. The feeling of being someone's daughter doesn't just disappear and snap just like that the moment you discover you're not really their daughter. It might be a little strange, but funny how she didn't see herself as a victim until she learned she should feel that way. I did like the guy, though, he was pretty neat. I don't think she'd remember something that happened when she was a baby, though. And what was with the frying pan thing, are they scared kids will stab each other if they see swords being used by anyone other than a "bad guy"? Hate to tell ya but frying pans are far more accessible to children than swords. I know I'm complaining but I really did like the movie. It was cute, it was funny, it was sweet, and I really liked it.

I washed four buckets and lids. They're drying now. Otherwise today has been a very blah kinda day. I don't know what to do with myself and I feel like I'm trying to exist for the sole purpose of getting myself through till tomorrow. Not really how I pictured my day off! I feel unenthusiastic and lethargic.

  1. I wouldn’t be surprised if the whole frying pan thing is just as you said. Nowadays people are overly paranoid over any kind of weapon or violence appearing in cartoons, sadly. I call it paranoia because that’s basically what it is (it’s an obsessive and irrational fear). That’s why most modern cartoons are watered down and why most of them are just plain stupid (and why I’m picky about which ones I watch and add to my collection). Before long, I half expect swords, knives, guns, and other weapons to be taken out of cartoons entirely and something dumb put in their place that won’t make sense. I remember when the last Veggie Tales movie came out. I think it had to do with pirates. Anyway, I heard where parents were upset that the characters in it had swords and cutlasses. o_O I am not kidding. It was so incredibly stupid. Um… they’re pirates, what else are they supposed to fight with? I guess parents expect them to all sit around and drink tea and smell flowers.

I find it very sad because I feel that they’re trying to shelter kids too much these days. A lot of it has gone way too far. Personally, I think it’s doing more harm than good. It’s not good to keep kids ignorant about things because they’ll learn about them eventually; if not at home, from the guidance of parents then they’ll learn about them from other people that might not be the best influence.
