Ended up having pizza today instead, obviously. The can is leftover from a nasty toothache my husband had.
Also, Steam lost everyone's saved games for Plants vs Zombies. I feel panicky. I've already had to restart the game once (when I switched to Steam) I don't want to do it again! None of the fixes really seem to work for some people so hopefully I can get my game back
I added up how many boards it'll take to build our house and if I'm not mistaken it's 175, not counting the stairs. At least I think that's right. I'll have my mom look it over when we go up there which should be Tuesday if my dearest gets out of bed before noon. And we'll get to pick out our spot! That will be a lot of fun. My math isn't always right though. As I was adding it up I wrote down how many inches one wall would be. Then I wanted to find out how many studs I needed. So each is placed 16" apart. So then I needed 16 divided between 192 inches. Ok, I added that up and got 12. But each board is 2 inches wide. So I needed to take that into consideration. Unsure how to do this I did several combinations and nothing. So I finally decided, ok, I'd do 2 + 2 + 2 etc until I reached a number that sounded right. As I was doing this I realized that, hey, 16 + 2 equals 18. So therefore I could simply do 192 divided by 18! Yay! And then the two lengths of boards we looked at were 12' and 14'. Neither is long enough on it's own so I added it up, 14 + 14 for 28, but I wondered what it was in half, to get it closer to 16, so I divided it by 2 to get... 14. Then after that I realized that either way we'd need 2 boards for each wall anyway so it didn't matter for the moment if we got 12' or 14'. -_-
